Well it took a while, mostly due to our own procrastination, but the website, discord and game server are now ready to use. We don’t expect for any to be hive of activity from a player’s perspective from minute one, but we hope to grow a great community over time and can’t wait for you join our discord or see you in game.
So, a brief introduction is in order, perhaps. We started this project to give people an alternative Scum experience, away from bot shop servers, where players may as well be playing a Battle Royale and away from servers with huge squads who have amassed massive hoards of needless junk in bases that were mindlessly built for no actual reason, all of which amount to poorly performing servers and gameplay that completely bypasses and neglects the point of the game.
Scum is a survival game with elements of PvP, too many servers seem to try to artificially create player versus players fights with bot shops or “warzones”. Encountering and fighting other players in Scum should be an organic experience not manufactured by server rules or express delivery guns.
On Exile, we want everything to feel like the game is supposed to be when it was created, with none of the above nonsense included, and we want to create a community feeling for players that is not really found when playing Scum official servers. We hope you enjoy what we envisage, and we hope to see you around.
